The spring term..

Sounds kind of summer like.. term to me, in stead here in Oulu temperatures have plummeted to -20C and below, enough to make biking difficult, not only because your face feels like it is going to chip off, like it was made of crackly clay, but the parts of bike seem to have acquired toffee like resistance to your desperate efforts to make it to school on time.
The flip side to this is really beautiful scenery, with frosted trees and diamond-sparkly looking snow and sunshine which makes everything just that little bit more bearable.

I am starting a new course in the med school, BioChem 101.. and First Aid 1 and 2. should be fun.. Halle is advancing with tiny and not so tiny steps into the secrest of Finnish language, perhaps next week she can put her skills to the test, when we meet my aunt for few days.. She is absolutely no English, only Finnish kind of relative.

For those who didn't know and are reading this, my mom had a stroke about a week ago, result from Polycythemia.. and later the doctors found eosinofilic endocarditis. Now they are trying to find the right dosage for her and this Wednesday she is going to see a eye doctor who will ispect her vision and how much damage the stroke had caused to her field of vision. She has noticed that sudokus seem impossible because of her "new" field of view has blind spots.. I count my blessings and thank God she has the sight for doing sudokus at all.
And would like to thank you all for your prayers they have lifted my mother and her suffering to God who has so richly and with healing hand taken good care of her. Thank you all!
