An other year has passed

From 2008 to 2012 times has flown and crawled at the same time. Some things seem to have happened ages ago and others just recently. I feel like Peregrine

was just born a while ago. On the other hand the time to when I started my studies 2008 seems like a lifetime away. Now however I am legally allowed to drill and bill for the first time. In Finland this is a provisional license granted to students after 4 years of study. The final year is full of final exams and some clinical work.. But before that I will work at a government facility for 2 months on my summer holiday.

As with last yer and I believe a year before that we had a little BBQ to think of the things we have learned since the last time we had our annual summer BBQ.

Here we are "The three amigos" second to last time together during our studies.. how things have changed since I think when I look at it now. I am the only one who will graduate as a dentist, and we have all embarked on our separate journey into the world of PhD..

Well all things must come to an end some time, journey to there has been and will be most rewarding at times but also boring and hard. Happy summer plans and trips and things people have ahead of them. Halle is off with Peregrine to see the grandparents and uncles and people. I am stuck here working like there is no tomorrow to finish my two articles and work on some research job that i am not completely sure of...

How time flies

Wow! it has taken a long time to get back to writing. Past month and a half has been busy and filled with travel and work and birthdays and everything!

Here Peregrine is packing to head to Helsinki to visit all the cousins and aunt and uncles and pappa and mummu. He still fits into the carry on luggage measuring frame! Even so we have to pay the tax for his ticket to fly, even though he does not even get a seat on the plane.

Here Aunt Tiina is giving a ride on a double decker buggy, rough luck my son to land on the bottom.. Only a side view.. 

It was Easter time and egg painting was the most appropriate activity.. Some helping/guiding hands were to help keep the paint on the table. Later on the eggs were eaten..

 Ranua Zoo is possibly the most northern zoo in the world.. They had many different kinds of animals for us to look at. I think Peregrine was most impressed by the deer, who came close by the fence.. He painted to them and said yummy! (nam nam, in Finnish). We agreed, some venison or moos steak could really be great :)

Ranua Zoo sight to see was the polar bear cub, but it was in the far corner of the cage and Peregrine didn't seem to be to impressed, however the paintings of animals for size were much more interesting as touching was an option. Here is the scale image of the brown bears who roam in the forests around Finland and are the usual summer story when sighted in a city..

Here The papa familius is posing as a lynx lynx.. (ilves) as usual, had to make use of the opportunity to play around. The weather was sunnyish with some wind.. and temperatures at +4-6C (39F).

Now happy Mothers Day for my lovely wife, I did not bring breakfast to bed, but left her sleeping in bead and left the breakfast waiting while we took a walk outside with Peregrine.

P.S. only few more weeks and we are going for a summer holiday (to work for 2months..)
